Intro:
5th painted kit of the year …. This one was completed together with the Ryuseimaru , both HG kits were worked at the same time ..
Kit Info:
This was a release from 2023, first Mashin Hero Wataru kit from Bandai I believe (not include the full size handsome looking ones) .. This was a premium bandai release but fairly recent to accquire. Transformation requires some parts swapp, but overall a good looking, well articulated and solid release. The OG Mashin Hero Wataru has a special place in many of our heart.
The build:
Majority of the kit are straightforward, Certain part had to be painted (arm in white), cover by masking tape, then glue the shoulder pieces together and work on the seamline .. The lap also requires some gluing/seam filling .. colour scheme is simple
Colour used:
- White - gx01 white -> xc08 (moonstone pearl)
- Gold - gx02 -> Jumpwind em02
- Red - primed black -> gsi shikki gold -> clear red
- Dark - gsi gunmetal
Thoughts:
took about 2 weeks to finish with the Ryujinmaru , simple and fast build .. the Jumpwind em02 has a really nice turnout .. part of the reason for this is to try out the paint for coming KOG project ..
