panel linning before masking makes the lines easier to see, tamiya dark grey panel liner is being used here .  

start with the lightest colour to the darkest, masking tape of different kinds, a cutter, a tweezer were being used, all the tape edges were being pushed by a bamboo stick for a tighter seal.

trying to archive a more pastel overall feel.   first went with mr. color CL105 lavender, things turned out too light and pinkish.  mixing a few drops of mr color #67 purple

turned out okay ..  parts prep/cleaning comes in big when peeling tape .   so far so good .    dark purple next .  

my recent spray setup ..    had been shooting in a paper carton in the garage for years ..    finally having proper environment to get things done right ...
