ebs just recently released this billy sheehan signature overdrive pedal.  mainly a combination of overdrive with compressor with blend so the balance of clean and processed signal can be tweaked on the fly.

exciting?  i'm alright, personally i'm not a huge fan of overdrive for bass, plus i just recently got the roland divided pickup plus guitar synth pedal, which is way more fun.  

feature wise, it's very thoughtful to have the blend knob, well, boss odp-3 offers the same knob. but both clean and drive channels have dedicated effect loop for hooking up more effects, a insert cable (y-cable) is required.  it might ended up alot of cable/connectors going in different directions on the pedal board tho.  'm looking forward to check out how the compressor on this thing work.  threshold value can be adjuted by opening up the back cover, then it will be set-it and forget it.  downside is when you switch a different instrument, you'll have to do minor tweakings again.
