here's comes some updates with the Wave/Takara 1/24 Scopedog Turbo Custom. needs a little more efforts when compare to the modern stuffs. I can safely say most of us had been spoiled by bandai in the past 20 years. this one totally reminds me of what old school model building is and I totally dig it.
test fitting, surface prepping / filling / sanding / line scribing
more prepping, priming, sanding. tackeling all the shrinkages to get an overall sharp look
adding some texture onto the shoulder with plastic putty, rescribing lines after sanding the surfaces. rebuilding some small details.
more prepping, i miss old school modeling where you glue and wait . so much less parts , and some of the modern tool/gadgets also helped big time .
winter is finally over ... first spray of the year , applying 2 tone on the green, and some rough clear spray to protect the acrylic paint. still looked a little boring ..
went with another round of lighter green as highlight ..
this is looking better now .
more test fit, it's coming together
will start working on the details next . let's see how this one goes!
